I keep wanting to update my website. I do. And write a blog post. Also that. I have several ideas for blog posts, even! So many ideas that my brain is honestly overwhemled and doesn't know where to start. So I'm making myself start with a very simple and short post. My mental health has been a lot better and one of the things contributing to that is trying to dress well. I don't always succeed but the attempt sends happy chemicals to my nervous system. I like wearing clothes that make me happy and I've always thought fashion was cool. I've been dressing in various alt fashions back as early as middle school in my oversized inuyasha shirt and black jnco jean shorts. (Are we gonna bring those back? I kinda want to. The pockets were sick.) I have an interest in J-Fashion that's resurging that I'd like to slowly dip my pinky toe back into as well.
Therefore I wanted to start using some space on my blog to keep a record of some outfits that I've worn that I like. I wanted to put this post off even, to curate more outfits and talk about my fashion and what I wear even more, but then I realized that was just a method of procrastionating, or telling myself posting one outfit was not enough, or that my blogging wouldn't be enough. So fuck it. You're getting one outfit today and that's it, blog.

So I know, typically, these sorts of fit check type posts usually have the clothes on the person. However I still struggle with a lot of dysmorphia/dysphoria and am not quite ready for that so I settled for this. We'll get there.
Back to the clothes. From top to bottom, the hat is a Pokemon baseball cap, I'm pretty sure it was from the little girl's section at Target years and years ago. I happened to see it while walking past and grabbed it, it's one of my favorite hats to this day. I am a big baseball cap wearer, I like that it keeps my hair and sun out of my face in the heat. The design is too cute... I don't really know if it goes with this outfit, my idea is that it matches the crocs, but, eh.
My shirt is a bleach dyed shirt from an unknown brand. I bought it at a punk flea market last summer? Sadly it's getting holes pretty fast but I'm mending them even faster. This in my top five favorite autism shirts and if I knew the brand I would buy more of them to diy. I'm legit posting the inside of the shirt. If anyone knows this brand please email me. I know it's a long shot but I'm so serious right now.

The overalls are modcloth! Do people still shop at modcloth? They used to be so popular in the 2010's but I feel like no one talks about them anymore. Looks like they're making Gunne Sax now which that's actually really cool. Anyway! I picked them up at a queer clothing exchange where I dropped off a bunch of clothes and took like two things, lmao. They're stretchy and suprisingly comfortable. One of the buttons was kinda falling off but I just stitched the back a bit and now it's pretty secure. I really do like overalls. Even though these suckers leave my legs pretty exposed I still feel very protected just because it covers my entire torso.
Me trying to decorate the front with pins was a nod to Decora but I got scared so I only wore two pins. The pin on the left is a Rabbit Pin I got at a Ross I think? Several years ago at this point. The other pin is a Lush pin, one of the ones that comes with a greeting card. It is cute but note that if you wanna get one of their pins I do highly suggest you seal the front with modge podge or something, otherwise the front will scratch off. They're not very well made pins. The earrings I genuinely do not fucking remember where they came from I feel like they just appeared in my life. I could not tell you. I am so sorry. Thrifting? A gift, maybe? I am so sorry. I have a good collection of weird earrings you will see more and a lot of the time I will just wear one earring... which is a story for another time I think.

I feel like the socks came from a drug store years ago, the crocs were a recent thrift pickup. I have an older set of crocs I picked up five plus years ago so I was ready for a new set and these were gently used so I grabbed them. I love crocs.
I do hope the origins of my clothing aren't too boring. Most of it is thrifted, picked up for cheap, diy'd, and stuff like that.
