the sega dreamcast

My memories from a child are absolutely god awful but I swear I have a memory as a kid of being in a walmart one day and going by the electronic section and having my mom ask me if I wanted something called a dreamcast. I remember a huge pile of something in the middle in the bargan bin, and everyone knows that something in the bargan bin at walmart isn't anything that's any good anyway, right? I strugged and said no, I didn't know what a dreamcast was anyway.

Do you sometimes really, really regret being a dumb kid?

Not that I knew any better, of course. I'm not mad at myself by any means. But boy that would have been a cool way to get into dreamcast. I did end up getting a dreacast later on in life in my college days when I started getting into retro gaming, just a bit before it started getting really popular (read, expensive.) At first I just collected whatever, but then I slimmed down my collection slightly, keeping things I really liked. I think my favorite games I've ever played on the dreamcast have been Time Stalkers and Typing of the Dead but as far as ports go, Evolution Worlds was my favorite.
