I remember after a particularly difficult time for my family, we had just moved into a new apartment, and christmas was coming up. I genuinely wasn't expecting much, I did not grow up with a lot of money to go around. But somehow my mom managed a gamecube as well as a few games. The graphics blew me away at the time and I loved playing the games we got for christmas, Animal Crossing and Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles. I had a copy of nintendo Power with an article on Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles with a poster in it and it's always a game I had wanted to play. Growing up a Nintendo kid, I was robbed of the Final Fantasy games a lot of my peers grew up with, like FF7. So to me, anything with the Finaly Fantasy label had to be a great game. I guess my Mom took notice of the poster for a game I didn't even own in my room, lmao.
